Planning Your Trip
While there’s plenty of room for spontaneity on your St. Thomas girls’ trip, there are a few critical details you should work out in advance:
Transportation - There’s no Uber or Lyft on the island, so you can either rent a car, arrange private transportation or rely on taxis. Note that St. Thomas residents drive on the left-hand side of the road, but traffic moves slowly and most visitors adapt quickly.
Excursions - The most popular excursions (think boat charters and private snorkeling tours) book quickly, especially during peak season. If you have your heart set on a specific activity, we recommend booking several weeks in advance.
Food - If you want a provisioning service to stock your villa or condo with groceries, be sure to contact them in advance. If you plan to shop upon arrival, double-check store hours as shops may close earlier than you’re used to on the mainland.

We love to grab a casual dinner and drinks at Fish Bar. If you’re looking for nightlife, we highly recommend Box Bar or the full moon party at Sapphire Beach.
If you’re in the mood to shop, the stores at Havensight offer a great variety of souvenirs, jewelry and clothing.
For the best group photos, try Magens Bay at dawn or dusk when the lighting is most flattering and the crowds have dispersed.
If you have an extra day, take a group trip to St. John and explore the Virgin Islands National Park.
